We stimulate development of children in a comprehensive way taking into consideration their potential, and at the same time implementing the core curriculum of the Ministry of National Education.

On many levels, and we direct this development according to the potential and abilities of a given child, at the same time implementing the core curriculum of the Ministry of National Education. We realise the curriculum of preschool teaching at a high level thanks to working on various areas of education - intellectual, aesthetic, social and concerning health. We achieve our educational objectives in two languages. Thanks to our approach, the children learn the second language in a natural way. The learning takes place through play and using all the senses. What is important, is joy, which the children feel while learning new skills, because it inspires him/her to acquire and expand knowledge. Children love to learn, and if they are surrounded with wise teachers, the interests and talents of every child are going to be discovered. The teachers help the children to develop their self-esteem, to find their own assets and gifts. Though, they don't forget, how important is ability to work in group and respect for colleagues. Good cooperation among children and a positive competition are our other goals, which provide a good basis to start the next stages of the school education.

    English language

Our English language curriculum is based on the principles of language immersion. It involves constant, everyday contact with the language. Providing the children with the most natural environment for language acquisition, generating opportunities for them to listen and speak in English is the key to their success in mastering the language.

A curriculum is created individually for each age group. 4-year-olds are taught elements of the British "Letters and Sounds” programme. It introduces them into English language phonemes and prepares them to learning to read. Our process of teaching is supported with modern learning aids, including latest software and an interactive board, making the learning not only efficient but also fun. We are also fully aware that nothing will substitute the interaction with a teacher. Hence, each group has an assigned teacher with whom the communication is possible only in English throughout the day. Everyday interaction with a native speaker provides the students with the opportunity to communicate in English in natural and meaningful contexts.

Teaching children aged 2 and 3

Singing, playing music, story-telling and games makes up most of the programme for 2-3 year olds. Our teachers use Funamental Games by Colin Rose, Gordon Dryden, Katarzyna Lotkowska as one of their main resources supporting the development of children. Having fun while learning is a necessary condition for a child to feel well in a learning environment. Fundamental Games does just that, at the same time, it encourages children to use their senses and become independent. The activities based on Fundamental Games also prepare children to the process of acquiring future academic skills: reading, writing and calculating.

    Polish language tuition

Whether your child is going to spend in Poland only a few years or live here permanently, they will definitely find the knowledge of Polish language a great asset in the future. Studying together with Polish children will enable your child to pick up the language naturally. They will also find it easier to make friends and feel at home in a foreign country. We do our best to facilitate their Polish language acquisition by providing plenty of opportunities for children to interact in Polish. We also take into account their current knowledge of the language making sure that they are not overwhelmed by the fact that for a lot of their peers the language they are learning is native. Through constant guidance and structured learning they’ll be able to catch up very quickly, often surprising their parents who themselves are often less successful in mastering Polish language.

Taking care of your child emotions

Frequent meetings with a psychologist and the implementation of "Zippy's Friends” programme in a group of 5-year-olds support children in coping with difficulties, encourage them to use the acquired skills in everyday life and let them improve relations with other people. It does not focus on the children with diagnosed problems or difficulties, but generally positively influences their emotional wellbeing.

Apart form regular meetings with 5-year-olds, our psychologist also runs sessions for 4-year-olds within the framework of a special programme, “Between us, pre-schoolers”. It is a one week cycle of meetings helping children understand their emotions and behaviour. It also teaches them how to solve conflicts with other children.

    Physical education & Music

Developing motor abilities in children is for us equally important as teaching them academic skills. Our children spend a lot of time outdoors. They take full advantage of a big playground, running and playing games. They also take part in structured classes developing their motor skills, e.g. gymnastics based the programme developed by Veronika Sherborne. Three times a week children take part in “Music and Movement” classes. In addition, we have support of a teacher specialising in musculosceletal development, who helps us recognise postural defects.

    Speech Therapy

Group speech therapy classes aim at preventing speech disorders, strengthening articulatory apparatus muscles, ensuring proper breathing track, and improving phonemic hearing. Individual classes in a form of extracurricular activities are offered to children with articulation disorders, speech retardation or other speech abnormalities.

    Performances & Concerts

Our children have a lot of opportunities to see theatre performances and concerts both in their preschool and in town. We invite actors from various theatres, puppet shows and pantomimes. Often, we host musicians, who not only give concerts, but also familiarise the kids with the world of music. They show its diversity resulting from its different sources, origin, epoch and types of instruments used. Every trip outside the preschool is a chance to discover new places and gain new experience.
